Wagon Days
Friday, August 30 – Sunday, September 1
You don’t need to be a history buff to enjoy Wagon Days, a beloved Sun Valley Labor Day tradition dating back to 1958. The Ore Wagon Museum in Ketchum is open daily to discover the mining history of Ketchum, Friday brings horsemanship, cultural performances and children’s activities to Festival Meadows, the Sun Valley Story Bus Tour explores Ketchum’s mining past, and traditional Old West Cowboy Poetry is always entertaining.
The highlight of this Labor Day event is the Wagon Days Big Hitch Parade on Main Street, Ketchum. This is the biggest non-motorized parade in the country, the streets are packed with spectators, and the event ends with a fantastic street party in Ketchum Town Square. Rebecca’s Private Idaho
Thursday, August 29 – Sunday, September 1
For all professional or amateur cyclists, Rebecca’s Private Idaho is rated one of the 25 Best Bike Rides in the World by Outside Magazine and takes place right here in Sun Valley! This bucket-list 4-day cycling event, supporting the Be Good™ Foundation, features a mix of technical single and double track trails through the scenic Salmon-Challis National Forest and Sawtooth National Forest. It’s not too late to register!
Sun Valley Gallery Walk

Hosted by the Sun Valley Gallery Association, the Galley Walk around downtown Ketchum offers the perfect opportunity to get immersed in Sun Valley’s arts and culture scene. The gallery walk covers Ketchum’s finest galleries with an opportunity to mingle, sip wine, and meet the artists. The outdoor sculptures on the Fourth Street Heritage Corridor are not to be missed while walking around downtown Ketchum.
Free Yoga at River Run

Enjoy another bucket-list Sun Valley experience this Labor Day weekend – the grand finale of the summer season of Sun Valley on Ice at the world-famous year-round outdoor ice rink. This original ice show features 2024 US Gold Medalists Ellie Kam and Danny O’Shea, and our own talented Sun Valley on ice cast. To round off the Labor Day weekend, Grammy award-winner Lukas Nelson and his full band will be performing at the spectacular Sun Valley Pavilion. This all ages event begins at 6:30 PM with a supporting act by Ken Pomeroy, a 19-year old singer-songwriter with a unique Folk Americana sound! The arena is sold out, lawn tickets are still available.
